Join me the second Monday of each month live on Zoom for...
Adults Exploring Art
Modeled after the popular kids' classes I've taught since 2014, these virtual paint nights will be based on the elements of art and different artists or styles. Each month our painting will have a different focus - color, value, texture, shape, line, form, or space.
You won't just be copying a fun piece of art -- you'll be learning the language of art.
$30 per class per person or $50 per household/screen
Monday Nights (second Monday of each month) 8 pm Pacific Time (each class will last 1.5-2 hours)
Dates are subject to change if I book a fantastic trip somewhere 😉.
I'll be happy to help you figure out themes, materials, registration forms, etc. It will be easy to organize and fun for all the participants! Let's plan a party!
(Prices for private events vary.)
Materials Needed for Paint Nights
You will need a set of 12 acrylic paints, medium flat brush, small round, 8" x 10" canvas or canvas board, a pallet (plastic plate or old/cheap cutting board work well), water, and paper towels.
If you are just starting out, the easiest thing to do is order one of the kits below(full disclosure, you don't pay anymore but these are affiliate links so I get a small percentage back from Amazon for each sale.) I recommend them because I've tried both and they work well and have everything you need - 12 paints, 6 brushes, and 3 - 8"x10" canvases.
I prefer locally owned small businesses, though, so if you are in the San Fernando Valley area, try Carter Sexton Artists Materials at 5308 Laurel Canyon Blvd. They are one of the few locally-owned art stores still around and are very knowledgable and helpful.
